Kelly Adams M.S., OTR/L


Kelly graduated from Alvernia University where she received the Master of Science Clinical Excellence Award for recognition of outstanding performance during clinical placements. Prior to graduate school, Kelly worked as a paraprofessional in a classroom for children with multiple disabilities and worked as a summer camp counselor and ropes course instructor. Since graduating with her Master’s degree, Kelly continues to love working with children and their families. She began working as an OT at an outpatient facility where she remained for 3.5 years. In this setting, Kelly became the Occupational Therapy Coordinator and mentored new hires as well as an occupational therapy student. After leaving this setting, Kelly began working full-time at a school for children with multiple disabilities. Here, she manages a full caseload, manages OT students, and maintains the school-wide sensory cart. Kelly has experience working with children with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, low muscle tone, prematurity, many cognitive and genetic disorders, and children without diagnoses.

Currently, Kelly is registered with NBCOT, is licensed in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is a member of AOTA. She is a certified Therapeutic Listening provider, and has taken continuing education courses on sensory processing, self-regulation and sensory strategies, primitive reflexes, vestibular dysfunction, behaviors, fine and visual motor skills, and severe impairments. Additionally, she has experience with DIR/Floortime. Kelly values building rapport with children and enjoys seeing children thrive using play-based intervention.
