Meet Michelle Carranza, M.S., OTR/L
Michelle is a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist with a dynamic career in pediatric therapy. Michelle received her Master's degree from Stockton University, where she graduated with program distinction. She brings extensive experience in hand therapy, early intervention, and pediatric therapy. Currently, Michelle works full-time at a school for children with special needs. Here, she provides individualized therapy as well as multidisciplinary group therapies. She works collaboratively with teachers and administrators to support students in their classrooms and throughout their school lives.
Michelle believes in the power of engaging, meaningful activities and places a strong emphasis on play-based, child-centered treatment. Her goal is to make therapy not only effective but also enjoyable, helping children develop essential skills while having fun. Building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families is at the heart of her approach, and she aims to create a positive, supportive environment where children feel empowered to grow.
Whether working on fine motor skills, sensory integration, or social-emotional development, Michelle strives to meet each child where they are and collaborate with families to foster growth in a way that honors each child’s unique strengths and needs.
